The ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom smartphone has been unveiled ahead of its launch in February launch. The device was revealed at the recent Consumer Electronics Show 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom is one of the latest smartphones from the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturing company ASUS. The other smartphone is the ambitious ASUS ZenFone AR with Google Tango.
The ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom is a camera-centric smartphone and is likely a successor to the previously launched ASUS ZenFone Zoom. It has a 5.5-inch full high-definition AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
The ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom is powered by a Snapdragon 625 chipset. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in memory. It runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out of the box and could be updated to the Android 7.0 Nougat later this year.
The ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom features a 12-megapixel Sony IMX362 sensor with an aperture of f/1.7 as the main camera and a 12-megapixel shooter with a 2.3X optical zoom as the secondary camera. It has 4-axis optical image stabilization and 3-axis electronic image stabilization with Manual and Raw support as well for the main camera. It also sports a 13-megapixel front-facing camera with an aperture of f/2.0 for selfies.
The ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom is packed with a massive 5000 mAh battery that is good for 6.4 hours of 4K video recording and up to 42 days of standby. It is equipped with a fingerprint scanner at the back like other ZenFone 3 smartphones.
The ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom is scheduled to be launched in February. It will come in three colors; silver, black, and rose gold. There is still no information on its pricing at the moment.
