Mark your calendars! Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 will be launched on Windows PC and Xbox One on March 7, Capcom revealed on Thursday (Jan. 19).
The digital release for Xbox One and PC will cost $24.99, while the "limited edition" physical release for PS4 and Xbox One will cost $29.99. Although the physical edition of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 has a higher price tag, it comes with exclusive freebies including an updated cover art and a comic piece from renowned Marvel artists Sean Chen (Iron Man, Nova) and Gerardo Sandoval (Venom, The New Avengers), according to the Polygon.
Video game publisher and developer Capcom wrote on its blog that the comic will portray "the story of two colliding universes featuring some of the most iconic Marvel and Capcom characters in its 10 full pages of action packed story."
Players from the United States and Canada could now preorder for the game's physical edition through GameStop and EB Games, respectively. Unfortunately, Capcom did not specify how many units will actually be on-hand, so for those who want to grab the "limited edition" series, make sure to reserve a slot as soon as possible.
Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, which is the third entry in the fighting game series, first kicked off in 2011 but was pulled out from digital stores two years after.
While avid fans could not wait to get their hands on the upcoming Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, Capcom already teased players for the release of the new game franchise Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite, which IGN dubbed as one of the most anticipated multiplayer games for 2017.
However, to experience the game's revamped combat with 2v2 teams, players still has to wait until later this year (and sorry folks, no exact date yet). Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite release will be made available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
