(Photo : YouTube) Speculations are all over about the existence of the so-called Microsoft Surface Phone, especially from the Redmond-based software giant itself.

The current smartphones under Microsoft, the Lumia 950 and the Lumia 950 XL, are equipped with a 20 megapixels rear camera and Zeiss lens for great photographs.

The smartphones' rear cameras are also equipped with OIS and many other features, according to Tech Times. They also include a two stage capture key, which is a pretty unique feature, according to Phone Arena.

In spite of such great specs, Microsoft Lumia cameras still need automatic processes and a bit of tweaking here and there. For example, if the users want a good shot every time they click a picture, the cameras need a major enhancement.

One solution to this issue is the HDR mode, called the Rich Capture mode for the Lumia devices. However, for the new Lumia 950 and the Lumia 950 XL, the devices are only equipped with an "Off" and "Auto" option for the HDR mode in the camera.

There is absolutely no manual way to turn this mode "On." The "Auto" mode for the Rich Capture gets triggered only when there is not enough light in the background of the picture. Users do not have the facility to switch on the HDR feature, when they want to.

Thus, while taking the shots with direct sun light, the HDR mode does not get activated. Now, the HDR more is pretty important for cameras as it allows the users to click multiple pictures. They can also adjust the range of exposure levels with the HDR mode and click the pictures accordingly. However, if the Lumia users get the option to turn this mode on, their picture quality is expected to increase exponentially.

Fortunately enough, Microsoft is working on fixing this issue for once and for all. The company is in the process of adding a "Force HDR" option. This will be incorporated in the Microsoft Lumia 950 and the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL smartphones in the next update from Microsoft.

Therefore, soon there will be a third option in the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL Rich Capture mode: "On."

Microsoft is yet to set a particular date for the release of this update, but there are speculations that it is going to happen very soon.
