Apple Watch Hermès will go on sale at the two companies' online stores starting on January 21, Friday after being announced at an iPhone 6s event last September. The luxury watch was first only available in some Apple Stores and Hermès locations in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco, Toronto, and many cities in Europe and Asia.

Fashionista and The Verge reported the Apple Watch news. The stainless steel Hermès smartwatch is available in three styles and five colors, which can be combined.

It is also available in three leather band designs. They include Single Tour (buckle is like straps on horse), Double Tour (wraps 2x around the wrist), and Cuff (like equestrian gear).

All Apple Watch Hermès units have special mini clock faces developed by the luxury brand. In addition, the company's brand is stamped on the back of the watch face.

Price points for Apple Watch Hermès range from $1,100 to $1,500. This is based on the case's size and band's style, according to Macworld.

The Wall Street Journal has reported that Apple and Hermès teamed up for the luxury timepiece before the Apple Watch was introduced. It is also the most branding on an Apple product from another company.

Apple's move to sell the luxury Watch in boutiques surprised some industry experts, and the company never explained the limited supply. The tech giant has offered its other Apple Watch models in hundreds of physical stores and online, and added more wristbands, according to Fortune.

There are a few popular theories. One is that the two companies wanted to make the luxury watch more exclusive by making its availability limited, or Hermès needed more time to make more wristbands.

Apple is still selling lower-priced Apple Watch models online. The prices start at $349 for Apple Watch Sport, while the priciest unit is the gold Apple Watch that costs up to $15,000.

Apple Watch 2 was earlier reported to launch at a March event. However, newer rumors claim that production runs are already in progress, or that a software update will be rolled out in March but a second-gen version will not be available until later in the year.
