New details on "Injustice 2" will feature nine DLC characters, several motherboxes and microtransaction for the sequel.
The latest rumor circulating "Injustice 2" will likely feature nine DLC characters within the game. The information came on the details of the game's Ultimate Edition, which also features Power Girl, Green Lantern John Stewart and Reverse-Flash skins and two gear shader, EventHubs reported.
While the names of the nine DLC characters have not been announced for "Injustice 2", previous reports hinted that a possible list of playable characters are added in the game, which include Red Hood, Firestorm, Starfire, Black Adam, Beast Boy, The Comedian, John Constantine and Vixen. Spawn and Sub-Zero are hinted as the guest characters outside of "Injustice 2".
In addition, there are also rumored premier character skins in "Injustice 2" such as the CW Network versions of The Flash, Green Arrow and Supergirl, while the others are revealed to be Black Siren, Nightwing, Batwoman, Red Arrow, Bizarro, Wild Cat, Mr. Freeze, Shazam, Deathstorm, Black Beetle, Ocean Master, Blackfire and Arkham Knight.
So far the only DLC character in "Injustice 2" is the New God Darkseid as a pre-order content when the game is released.
The confirmed playable DC characters in the game include Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern Hal Jordan, The Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg, Supergirl, Blue Beetle, Black Canary, Green Arrow, Robin, Swamp Thing, Doctor Fate, Atrocitus, Gorilla Grodd, Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Poison Ivy, Catwoman, Cheetah, Bane, Captain Cold and Braniac.
In other news, NetherRealm Studios revealed more details on "Injustice 2's" gear system, loots and microtransaction.
Game producer Ed Boon and lead game designer Derek Kirtzic told Gamereactor that gamers will not be worried about the effects of the gear system in "Injustice 2's" online gameplay. One of these online features the ranked match, were in the player's character will retain their look, but it will not have the same attributes and enhancements in order to level the playing field.
As for the loot boxes and microtransaction, Kirtzic stated that gamers can access loots by playing into different game modes and unlocked in the form of motherboxes. Gamers can also unlock more motherboxes via in-game currency so no real world money will be needed.
"Injustice 2" will launch on May 16 for the PS4 and Xbox One.
