The latest details for "Final Fantasy 7" remake will changes in the Materia gameplay and all playable characters in the game.
It seems that Square Enix will likely provide new changes in "Final Fantasy 7" remake's gameplay, which will make it unique from the original "Final Fantasy VII" om the PlayStation console.
After reiterating that battles will indeed be action-based and even teasing that gunners may fight differently inside "Final Fantasy 7" remake, game director Tetsuya Nomura shared something interesting related to the Materia system.
The original "Final Fantasy VII" game, materia is crucial to many playable characters as it gives them the ability to perform skills and spells during battle. Nomura told Famitsu (via Gematsu) that the Materai system in "Final Fantasy 7" remake will be different. as he described it as more of a "skill" and will be different from magic.
Equipping the materia for each character will determine what kind of spells and skills may have in the original game. It is still unknown what kind of changes or how different is the Materia System in "Final Fantasy 7" remake, but Square Enix will likely provide more details about it within the year.
In other news, Square Enix teased that gamers will have a chance to play as their favorite characters in "Final Fantasy 7" remake.
Nomura stated that gamers will be put into a situation were in they have to switch characters in battle. For example, when there is an enemy in a position that cannot be reached by Cloud Strife's Buster sword, players will have a more effective chance by switching to Barret Wallace.
This gives players a more strategic approach in "Final Fantasy 7" remake despite Square Enix confirming that the remake will have a more action-oriented style than a turned based-game format from the original "FFVII", Gamerant reported.
Although players do have the ability to control each party member’s moves in the original "Final Fantasy VII", swapping at-will in the middle of action-based combat would be a massive change. This will be exciting news for players who enjoyed the updates made to combat in "Final Fantasy XV", but traditionalists will likely be very unhappy about the change.
"Final Fantasy 7" remake is speculated to launch sometime within 2017 for the PS4.
