Samsung is expected to begin the rollout of Android 7.0 Nougat up for its Galaxy A series and Galaxy J series smartphones soon.
The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones have received Android 7.0 Nougat. Earlier this week, the update was also made available to Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones. Now the update is expected to soon arrive to Samsung's other phones to that belong to Galaxy A and Galaxy J lineup.
In the previous month, a Samsung Turkey support page that has been taken down contained information Android 7.0 Nougat rollout for Galaxy A and Galaxy J series smartphones, Galaxy Club reported. According to that leaked information, the Galaxy A3 (2016) with model number SM-A310F and SM-A800F Galaxy A8 (2016) are slated to get the update in the next month. The latter's dual SIM variant with model number SM-A800I is pegged the update in May.
The SM-A510F Galaxy A5 and SM-A710F Galaxy A7 that were released in 2016 are next in line to get the Android Nougat update in May. It seems that there are no Galaxy A series phones scheduled to get updated to Android N in June. The SM-A320F Galaxy A3 (2017), SM-A520F Galaxy A5 (2017) and SM-A720F Galaxy A7 (2017) are all expected to get upgraded to Android N in July.
Currently, all the above phones from Galaxy A series are on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. The 2017 editions of Galaxy A3, A5, and A7 that were released earlier this year are poised to get Android 7.0 Nougat update soon. However, the exact timeline is not available yet.
The Galaxy J7 from previous year with model number SM-J710FQ is rumored to get Android N in July. In August, the update would be hitting Galaxy J7 (2015) with model number SM-J700F. The SM-J510FQ Galaxy J5 (2016) and SM-600F Galaxy J5 (2015) are expected to get Android N in September and October, respectively. The SM-G610F Galaxy J7 Prime (2016) is rumored to get Android Nougat in November. Lastly, the SM-600FY Galaxy On7 is speculated to be updated to Android N in October, Sam Mobile reported.
