The Android 7.0 Nougat update flavored with MIUI 9 is yet to be arrival officially. Here is a list of Xiaomi phones that are expected to get the update.

The Android 7.0 Nougat update was officially released by Google in August last year. However, Xiaomi has been slow in rolling out Android 6.0 Marshmallow update skinned with MIUI 8 update. According to The Leaker, the following smartphones are eligible to receive Android 7.0 Nougat MIUI 9 update.

The update would be coming to Mi models such as Xiaomi Mi 5, Mi 5S, Mi 5S Plus, Mi 4C, Mi Max, MI Mix, Mi Note Pro, Mi Note, and Mi Note 2. In the Redmi Note lineup, it is expected to be available for Redmi Note 4 and Redmi Note 3. It is likely that the MediaTek version of Redmi Note 3 will not receive the update.

The Redmi phones such as Redmi Pro Redmi 3, 3S, 3A, 3S Prime, 4, 4A, and 4 Prime are also expected to receive the software update. Among Xiaomi tablets the Mi Pad 2 is the only one that is pegged to get Android N.

There is no official confirmation on when the update would be available for the above listed Xiaomi phones. However, rumors suggest that the update would be available by second quarter of this year. Since Xiaomi has been in slow in releasing software update for its phones, it is likely that the arrival of Android Nougat MIUI 9 may get delayed.

Xiaomi has recently released MIUI 8.2 global state ROM based on Android Marshmallow OS. The first batch of devices that received the update Mi Max, Mi Max Prime, MI4i, Mi 4, Mi 3, Mi Note, Redmi 1S, and Redmi Note 4G. The second set of Xiaomi phones that are receiving the update from Feb. 20 onwards include Redmi 2, Redmi 2 Prime, Redmi 3/Prime, Redmi 3S/Prime, Redmi Note 3, Note 4, Note 2 and Note Prime, MIUI stated.
