Motorola has taken the center stage during its event at MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2017 last week to reveal the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus in Barcelona. The Moto G5 is now been reportedly listed for pre-order in Germany. The device is scheduled to hit the Indian market March 15.
Meanwhile, European consumers will already be able to get their hands on the G5. The Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus are slated to arrive in Russia in April 2017.
Moto G5 & Moto G5 Plus Price
Three retailers in Netherlands namely Mobiel, GSMwijzer, and Belsimpel have the Moto G5 in stock which is ready to be shipped for 199 Euros. The same unlocked and SIM-free handsets were pre-ordered by consumers in Germany. As per the Dutch website, GSMHelpdesk.nl (via GSM Arena), this could likely be the official suggested retail price for the Eurozone.
This indicates that the Moto G5 Plus could be priced at €289, roughly about $309 when it hits the store shelves internationally, including the Netherlands, which uses Euro as their currency. It is expected that the handsets would be available in April. Furthermore, the aforementioned retailers gives its consumers the option to purchase the Moto G5 with a carrier contract which means they will need to pay comparatively less money for the smartphone.
Moto G5 & Moto G5 Plus Release Date In India
While, the Moto G5 will be most likely in India by March 15, the device is not going to be launched in the U.S. On the other hand, The Moto G5 Plus will be heading towards Stateside, bearing a price tag of $229 and compatibility with four leading carriers, according to Android Authority. Moreover, the Moto G5 Plus will be available exclusively on Flipkart and the e-commerce site in India, where it has already started teasing Moto fans on Social media.
Moto G5 & Moto G5 Plus Specs & Features
Both smartphones have undergone radical modifications in regards to its design - having a metal chassis and a ring-shaped camera frame at the rear. The Moto G5 is said to sport a 5-inch full-HD display. For its internals, the G5 will be packing a powerful 1.4GHz octa-core processor with a 2GB RAM and a 16GB internal storage.
The Moto G5 Plus, on the other hand, will be sporting a 5.2-inch full-HD display, a 3GB RAM and a 32GB internal storage, while a 2GHz octa-core processor will power up the G5 Plus.
