"ARK: Survival Evolved" v256 update is coming at the end of the month, and aside from the expected creatures and features, the developer may also reveal a major user interface (UI) overhaul. This will be the first major change to the UI since the game's early access began in 2015.

According to a tweet by game designer Jeremy Stieglitz from Studio Wildcard, there is going to be an Inventory UI overhaul in the upcoming "ARK: Survival Evolved" update. This means there is a possibility that developers may not be able to finish the overhaul when the update is released, so players should not expect too much.

A major change in the UI would be beneficial to the game. As iDigitalTimes has pointed out, the current screen setup works for players, but there is a lot of room for improvement. The game features several meters to monitor, so there should be an easier way for current players and beginners alike to quickly navigate.

Aside from significant changes in the UI, "ARK: Survival Evolved" v256 update will also bring "a lot of new and updated sounds," thanks to sound designer Stephen Baker from Wildcard. It is unknown what they are for, but some sounds are surely arriving to accompany the upcoming new creatures.

Stieglitz updated a Steam thread detailing the notes for "ARK: Survival Evolved" patches to include the new additions that will come once v256 rolls out. There will be four new dinos: Equus, Leedsichthys, Ichthyornis, and Iguanodon.

New TEK structures are also on the way, namely TEK Teleporter, TEK Mosa Saddle, and TEK Power Generator. There will also be a new TEK cave and the ability to build TEK Underwater Bases.

"ARK: Survival Evolved" v256 update will go live on March 29. For the v255 update that was released in February, click here.
