The latest details for "Injustice 2" will feature Sub-Zero and Spawn as the possible guest characters and Firestorm joins the roster.
It was during an episode of UpUpDownDown that a new DC character will join the growing roster of "Injustice 2" as the Nuclear Man Firestorm blazes his way into the superhero fighting game.
While there have been many wielders of the Firestorm name in both comics and live-action, this version of the Nuclear Man is Jason Rusch, the second hero imbued with the Firestorm matrix with Professor Martin Stein, after Ronnie Raymond died during the "Identity Crisis" mini-series.
Firestorm in "Injustice 2" will have players use distant as he is a powerful range character. He has a few close-up moves, but in general the character seems strongest after breaking away and streaming fire at the enemies from across the stage. Firestorm's special move will have him transform into a blue flamed version of himself to enhanced his abilities and a super move, which have him throwing several small nuclear blast at his opponents before finishing them off with two big blasts, Gamerant reported.
It is unknown yet as to which side Firestorm belongs to in "Injustice 2's" main story, whether he is in Batman's Insurgency or will he be joining Superman's Regime. Either way gaming fans will likely enjoy Jason Rusch's presence in the roster when "Injustice 2" launches on May.
Meanwhile, it seems that two rumored guest characters Spawn and Sub-Zero could officially join "Injustice 2's" roster.
Game producer Ed Boon has been teasing gaming fans of their arrival in "Injustice 2's" roster through the use of online polls in social media. In fact, Boon tweeted tweeted photos of DVD sets containing "Mortal Kombat" movie, its sequel "Mortal Kombat: Annihilation", "Mortal Kombat: Legacy" and "Spawn", thus teasing that a Mortal Kombat character and Spawn could be heading to "Injustice 2."
Another evidence to support the claim is the recent leaked video content posted by YouTube username Rafael Lorenzo that featured the names of Spawn and Sub-Zero in the game.
"Injustice 2" will launch on May 16 for the PS4 and Xbox One.
