"Diablo 3" is celebrating its fifth year anniversary soon, but in the meantime, players are busy with the new season and an upcoming DLC. "Rise of the Necromancer," which will bring the titular class to the game, is entering PTR soon.
"Rise of the Necromancer" PTR Arriving Soon
Blizzard's Public Test Realm allows players to test patches before they make their way to the game. According to Mic, "Diablo 3: Rise of the Necromancer" is going to be tested first before it is officially released to the public.
However, testing will be a little different this time, Blizzard claims. Just how different is unknown for now as the developer is yet to announce official details regarding the "Necromancer" beta.
It is possible that public testing will be invite-only, meaning that only select players are allowed to participate in the PTR. The "Rise of the Necromancer" may follow the "Splatoon 2" beta, which was only available for hour-long gameplays on a weekend.
What We Know About the Necromancer Class
"Diablo 3" will receive a class that has been a staple in the franchise: the Necromancer. Players noted that it might have some similarities to the Witch Doctor, but Blizzard aims to make it as unique as possible.
As a new class is introduced, it will come with new skills. Staying true to the class' name, the Necromancer will be able to play with corpses or order the Blood Golem around. The set of skills is particularly useful in keeping the player alive.
There is also a new build focused on the Blood Nova. The twist is that the spell will consume part of the player's HP. In return, it will cause a big explosion that will inflict great damage to the enemy, PC Games N reported.
As of now, there is no telling when exactly the "Diablo 3: Rise of the Necromancer" DLC will arrive, but it is expected some time in the second half of the year.
