The Nokia 6 is the first smartphone launched by the Finnish mobile company HMD Global. It is already available for purchase only in black color and will have its global rollout in May or June.
The Nokia 6 is now listed on the website of the Chinese retailer JD.com in silver white color variant and will go on sale on April 11. Its price is similar to the black variant, depending on the country.
In the website's listing, the Nokia 6 is priced at $246 (approximately Rs 16,016 or 1699 yuan or €231 or £198) for the 64GB model and $217 (approximately Rs 14,131 or 1499 yuan or €204 or £175) for the 32GB unit, which lacks NFC support. However, the retail price of the global model unit costs $244.42 (€229) and $319.13 (€299) for the Arte Black special edition according to the HMD Global.
The Nokia 6 has a 5.5-inch full high-definition 2.5D curved screen display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and protected from scratches by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. An octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset provides power with Adreno 505 graphics processing unit.
The Nokia 6 contains a 4GB of RAM in either 32GB or 64GB of expandable onboard storage up to 128GB using a microSD card slot. It houses a fingerprint scanner embedded in its physical home button and a non-removable 3000 mAh battery.
The Nokia 6 is pre-installed with the latest Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. It supports connectivity options including 4G LTE, dual-SIM, Bluetooth v4.1, Dolby Atmos, on-the-go (OTG), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, dual smart amplifiers, and dual speakers.
The Nokia 6 also features a 16-megapixel rear camera with an aperture of f/2.0, dual-tone LED flash, phase detection autofocus, and 1.0um sensor. It is coupled with an 8-megapixel selfie camera with the same aperture and 1.12um sensor.
There is still no official announcement from the HMD Global company that the new silver white Nokia 6 will be purchased in other markets outside China.
