It looks like Ubisoft Massive is far from being done with "Tom Clancy's The Division". The game developer has recently confirmed the all new Update 1.6.1 release next month while Update 1.7 is in the offing.
In its most recent broadcast of State of the Game, Ubisoft Massive offered fans a peek at what's brewing at the studio for "Tom Clancy's The Division". It announced that the game will be receiving Update 1.6.1 aimed to release in May.
The major update will introduce some well-needed changes in the game. It will include Proficiency Marks in Last Stand expansion for extra rewards. New mechanics will also be added to stop spawn camping.
Moreover, the update will tweak the Dark Zone map such as restricting cover spots for manhunts, landmark clearing in the DZ offering XP and bringing changes to the Airburst Seek Mine.
It will also offer fixes for throwable skills like First Aid and Support Station, currency and loot that won't require extraction and a lot more will be revealed in the patch notes soon. Apart from other improvement and changes coming in the game, Loadouts will also be added in Update 1.6.1.
Fans must note that Ubisoft Massive will hold a public test server for the Update 1.6.1 for "Tom Clancy's The Division" but no exact date is attached to it yet. However, the PTS will be limited to PC players, Gaming Bolt reported.
The release of the major Update 1.6.1 will be followed by another update, Update 1.7. It is anticipated to be available around July or August and prior to release, a PTS will happen for both PC and consoles for the first time. It is also confirmed that this next big update will feature Feats and Seasons.
In the meantime, Ubisoft Massive is currently holding a couple of events for "Tom Clancy's The Division" Spring Event. The first event already concluded yesterday, April 16 and the second one is currently ongoing until April 18.
