The latest updates for "Overwatch" will feature a new patch fix for the "Uprising" event and Doomfist appearance at E3 2017.
"White Chicks" star Terry Crews teased something big in "Overwatch" for gaming fans as he will be attending this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo during a Facebook Live video.
Though he did not mention what kind of "Overwatch" details, Crews made some comments regarding the rumored next DLC character, Doomfist. Adding more fuel to the fire, the "Expendables" star dropped another small hint during the middle of his live video by booting up "Overwatch" on his new PC.
Given that Crews has recently started streaming "Overwatch" on Caffeine for fun, as well as stopping by Blizzard Entertainment's offices on various occasions in recent months, the addition of Doomfist in the roster looks to be inching ever closer to reality, Gamereant reported.
Doomfist has been making headlines throughout the "Overwatch" forums, as well as various internet news sites. Could Crews and Blizzard finally announced the character at E3 2017?
For now, Blizzard Entertainment has not made any comments regarding Crew's claims of having Doomfist coming to the "Overwatch" roster.
In other news, Blizzard will be releasing a new patch update for "Overwatch's" current in-game event "Uprising" this week due to its numerous game glitches.
These in-game glitches include a fix on Mei's main weapon and ultimate attacks not having an effect, Projectile shots not behaving correctly when on top of the payload, Bots not spawning during the escort phase, multiple fixes to "Uprising" event statistics and instant wins in some game modes under very specific circumstances.
While gaming fans expect the patch 1.10 this week, Blizzard quality assurance lead Max Thompson stated in the forums that console users could expect some delay to ensure the quality of the patch fix.
In addition, game director Jeff Kaplan stated that "Overwatch" in the Nintendo Switch is possible, but they will have to "revisit performance" of the game to make it happen. Kaplan said that he was proud of his team for being able to patch simultaneously, and that a Nintendo Switch port would make that difficult, Express reported.
"Overwatch" is currently available for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
