As "Injustice 2" is fast approaching towards its official launch next month, game developer NetherRealm Studios has offered another tantalizing gameplay teaser at another playable character. It is also set to announce the final addition to the game's roster on April 20.

The latest trailer shows the infamous "Batman" villain, Poison Ivy, battle it out with and Catwoman in its latest teaser trailer. She is seen using her various botanical-based attacks and skills to knock her opponents down.

Then, as her finishing move, her foe is devoured by a beast plant with monster teeth, Gamespot noted. Fans can feast their eyes on Poison Ivy's fight with Bane and Catwoman below:

This teaser video is the most recent sneak peek released for "Injustice 2" as of late. The last one featured Scarecrow's scary moves and The Flash before it.

Moreover, the developer is also set to reveal the last playable character that will make it to the cut on April 28 before the game officially launches in May. Speculations are rife that it will be The Joker who will be announced as the final addition to the roster of "Injustice 2".

It is reported that fans are convinced the reveal date has reference to The Joker and Jason Todd/Red Hood, WWG cited. The 4/28 could be related to Batman #428 issue titled "A Death in the Family". Fans voted to get the then-Robin Jason Todd killed by The Joker using a crowbar.

Interestingly, the final character reveal date happens to fall on a Friday, which defies from the usual norm of NetherRealm Studios to declare a new playable character on a Thursday. In addition, the studio has notably teased characters within a two-week gap, but the last one takes more than that.

With all these clues, gamers believe that April 28 is chosen for some special reason. The 28 in the said date could also simply mean the total number of characters featured in "Injustice 2".

"Injustice 2" will hit PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 16. To date, it remains to be seen if the sequel will see a release on Windows PC later, similar to "Mortal Kombat X".
