"NieR: Automata" is set to get updated with new DLCs that will add more features to the game.

Square Enix and Platinum Games have finally confirmed that "NieR: Automata" will get several DLCs based on its post-launch plans. The developers have released two new gameplay videos.

The premium DLC for "NieR: Automata" is called 3C3C1D119440927 and was announced during a livestream to celebrate the game's shipping 1 million copies worldwide. The said DLC will arrive in Japan on May 2 and has been confirmed for Europe and North America, but no release date has been annouced. The DLC will cost around 1,500 yen in Japan. Details of its prices in the West have not be announced.

"NieR: Automata" DLCs will include new side quests and three Colosseum. The costumes will include oufits from "NieR: Replicants" for 2B, 9S, and A2. There are also new records that add special music tracks to the players' jukebox

New equipment and cosmetic accessories such as hairspray that allows gamers to change the color of 2B and A2's hair will be added. There are also masks with unique "on equip" effects and special bullets that change the appearance of enemy bullets in the game, VG 24/7 reported.

In addition, two new boss battles will be part of "NieR: Automata's" DLC involving Square Enix President and CEO Yosuke Matsuda. Later on, there will be another boss fight, this time against Platinum Games' President and CEO, Kenichi Sato, GameSpot reported.

Game director Yoko Taro revealed during the PAX East 2017 event that DLCs for the "NieR: Automata" might not happen due to lack of manpower and budget.

Taro also clarified some issues the developers encountered while creating "NieR: Automata." He noted that one name was changed to avoid a copyright infringement, and they also dealt with idioms and sayings that do not translate well from Japanese to English or other languages.

"NieR: Automata" is now available on the PS4 and PC platform.
