The scene in the trailer and the shot in the film use a dimly lit barn as a foreground and let the bright Western atmosphere pour in. In "Red Dead Redemption 2’s" case, however, the shot also features some passing cattle and a cowboy or rancher mounting a horse. Some have speculated this could be one of the main characters in the sequel, but Rockstar Games is tight lipped about story details right now.
While Rockstar is unlikely to confirm its inspirations when it comes to "Red Dead Redemption 2," there is little doubt that the studio paid close attention to Western style TV and film. Rockstar loves to draw from pop culture when it comes to creating living breathing worlds similar to "Grand Theft Auto," and "Red Dead Redemption 2" should be no different when in development, Gamerant reported.
In other news, several rumors are making rounds that the next gameplay footage for "Red Dead Redemption 2" will likely be showcased in the Xbox Scorpio console.
Previous reports stated that Microsoft will showcase the 4K resolution of Xbox Scorpio with several game titles such as "Forza Motorsport 7,"Star Wars Battlefront 2" and "Red Dead Redemption 2."
It remains unclear whether Microsoft will simply name drop "Red Dead Redemption 2" at the Xbox Scorpio event, or if Rockstar Games will use the highly publicized opportunity to reveal a new trailer to the gaming fans eager for any new information about the sequel, RDR2 reported.
It is rumored that ""Red Dead Redemption 2" will span two timelines in its storyline as a theory speculated that the sequel's possible multiple playable characters could have players switch between two different timelines.
Some of the clues suggest "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be a sequel mainly include the level of technology seen in the release trailer, such as telephone lines. While others believed that it could be a prequel from the first game and will explore the relationship between John Marston, Dutch and Billy Williamson.
With that in mind, It is possible that the two protagonists of the game will be a younger John Marston and an older Jack Marston, and the various missions will time-hop between the two of them.
"Red Dead Redemption 2" will be release on the Fall 2017 for PS4 and Xbox One consoles
