A data miner says “Overwatch” will be having an allegedly anniversary event and it includes many new contents. It looks like files for the event is already included in the recent update and it includes new cosmetic items, maps, and new variations of existing maps. The anniversary event is said to go live on May 24.
According to a Reddit user FailCraft, Blizzard has already uploaded files in their recent update and it includes codes for a possible anniversary event. The user posted proof of his finding on YouTube from Hanmeh username. The files were titled “EVENT_6” and it comes with five to 8 new cosmetic game items for each game character.
The codes show that the items are confirmed to be for Tracer, Sombra and Orisa gets seven items while the rest of the characters may have 6 items. Failcraft also mentioned that new skins could also be on the way, based on the events launched in the past. It can be remembered that new skins almost always come with new items in every event of “Overwatch”.
