The latest updates for "Grand Theft Auto 5" will feature double heists rewards, new premium race, time trial in "GTA Online" and Liberty City mod release delayed.
Bad news to all "GTA" fans and modders as OpenIV’s lead developer GooD-NTS that much anticipated Liberty City mod in "Grand Theft Auto 5" will be delayed from its supposed release date due to scheduling conflicts.
The Liberty City is cited to launch in the spring this year as GooD-NTS stated that the mod will be in "Grand Theft Auto 5" to a more nebulous, but manageable time frame of 2017 since the team has its own personal lives to which they need to tend. The mod creator then goes on to make followup statements regarding potential questions fans may have about the delay, Gamerant reported.
OpenIV has been working on the Liberty City mod for months as they made an impressive progress on the mod by teasing gaming fans images and the city is based on the "Grand Theft Auto 4" version. While the delay did disappoint fans, it will not be long for OpenIV to make an announcement for its release in the following months of 2017.
Meanwhile, new updates for "GTA Online" will have new rewards for Heist missions, a new premium race and time trial.
The new "GTA Online" race is called "Beach Party" and players will have to use the Blazer Aqua quadbike to take part. Players will get triple RP just for participating in the race, while the top three players in each race will earn "big" GTA$ rewards.
This week's Time Trial is titled "Raton Canyon" and players who beat the par time will get a "sizeable" GTA$ and RP reward.
Finally, this week's update will reward players double the usual amount of GTA$ and RP earned during online Heists missions. The offer, which stands from now until May 16, is valid on all five of the multi-part robberies in "GTA Online," GameSpot reported.
"Grand Theft Auto 5" is currently available for the PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC platforms.
