New updates for the "Need for Speed" 2017 sequel will feature offline mode, more customization elements, cop chases, no online mode and a release date announcement soon.

Ghost Games revealed new details for this year's "Need for Speed" sequel as the developers teased that the game will be completely offline. The previous "Need for Speed" title required gamers to be online in order to play the game, much to their frustrations.

As such, the online features for "Need for Speed" 2015 has been a huge discussion amongst fans and even in Ghost Games as well. Ghost Games stated that whenever fans give an issue this much “attention and feedback” it takes note. For that, the developer also confirms that players will be able to pause the upcoming "Need for Speed" 2017, Gamerant reported.

Aside from dropping online mode, the new "Need for Speed" 2017 game will have more customization elements than the previous games, adding more unique features never before seen in the series.

There are also cop chases in the sequel, which has been a standard for the "Need for Speed: franchise. More street races and competitions and "plenty of space" for players to do whatever they want on the road.

Ghost Games stated that dialing up the action and allowing players to tear up the tarmac, and dirt, to their heart’s content. There is nothing more satisfying than getting into a cop chase and feeling the heat on their tail as players tear it up through the city.

It has been rumored several years back that the next "Need for Speed" sequel will have collisions and car damages as Electronic Arts posted several job offers online.

The new "Need for Speed" game will require a UI Software Engineer, which the developers need to make the sequel's architectural design, implementation and debugging for multiple platforms. Other openings includes a Senior Vehicle Artist and a Development Director.

More details on "Need for Speed" 2017 will be shared in the coming weeks leading up to EA PLAY in June. Gamers will get moreout if at E3 2017 and cannot to what Ghost Games has to offer to them or even a possible release date within the year, VG 24/7 reported.

"Need for Speed" 2017 is speculated to launch in the third quarter of 2017 for PlayStation 4.
