"Rocket League" developer Psyonix is teaming up with WWE Backlash on May 21, which sparks speculations that WWE-themed mode could be on the cards. It also has released Patch v1.34, adding a new car, new wheels, Neo Tokyo returning as a standard flat arena, new rocket trail and many more.
Neo Tokyo is back and updated with a Standard Arena layout and will be available in all private and competitive playlists. The original "Neo Tokyo" is renamed "Tokyo Underpass", which is now available in offline and private matches.
The Nitro Crate that contains new items are now added and it displays as "Crate - Nitro" in players' inventory after they receive it. The Loot Crate Community Flag is also added.
It also comes with an exclusive Rocket Trail called Cold Fusion and Exclusive Wheels called ZT-17. Selected Pull-Back Racers will be available with one code that can be redeemed for a set of two exclusive in-game items.
The original Minis Pull-Back Racers can be purchased on a discounted price later this Spring. Then, codes can be redeemed through the Redeem Code button found in the Extras menu.
Patch v1.34 for "Rocket League" also includes bug fixes to address an issue on PC/Steam where toggling Motion Blur on and off would cause a game crash. It also fixes the Vertical Sync that does not automatically re-enable if was disabled in Video section of the Options Menu.
Console issues such as Light Shafts that no longer automatically re-enable when it is disabled in Video section of the Options Menu and the "Registered Voter" achievement on Xbox One are now fixed as well. Full patch notes can be viewed via Psyonix's "Rocket League" official website.
More good news comes to "Rocket League" fans as it teams up with WWE and WWE Backlash. In a report by Forbes, the Official Twitter account for the game teased about its big plans brewing between the game and WWE.
The report said that "Rocket League" was announced as an official pay-per-view sponsor for the WWE Backlash on May 21 and mentioned that this is just the beginning. With this new team-up, fans may see a WWE-themed mode in the near future.
