New updates for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will feature two new attacks, Super Saiyan transformation and a fall 2017 release date for the Nintendo Switch version.
Bandai Namco Entertainment announced that the Nintendo Switch version of "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will launch in the fall this year. The Japanese publisher tweeted that the Nintendo Switch version will have Ad-hoc play, motion controls, 2P battle on one system with one joy con each.
The Nintendo Switch's motion controls allows gamers to perform some of the most iconic moves in "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" such as the Kamehameha. The Ad-Hoc cooperative play will be available for up to six players or gamers can go head-to-head with a friend by using separate Joy-Cons, Siliconera reported.
"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" is one the three video game titles that Bandai Namco Entertainment plans to include in the Nintendo Switch alongside "Taiko Drum Master" and the "Tales of" series. In addition, layers who purchase the game on day 1 will get more than 70 playable characters unlocked from the start.
Meanwhile, two new move sets are added to the DLC Pack 4 characters Super Saiyan Blue Vegito and Fuse Zamasu in "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2".
For Fused Zamasu, his Lightning Absolution will be added to his list of techniques, as it will allow him to fire purple bolts of lightning at his opponent. Super Saiyan Blue Vegito on the other hand, will get the Spirit Stab, a technique similar to Spirit Sword but in blue color.
Super Saiyan Blue Vegito will also get the Super God Fist, while Fused Zamasu will cast a flame like projectile called Holy Wrath.
Lastly, Future Trunks will get a new Super Saiyan form called "Super Saiyan Rage" which made its debut in "Dragon Ball Super" during the "Future Trunks" arc. This allows Trunks to have both Super Saiyan form with a god-like aura that matches Super Saiyan Rose Black Goku and Zamasu in battle.
However, it is unclear if that transformation will make it into the story mode or as part of Future Trunks’ skills as a playable character at this point in time, Saiyan Island reported.
Bandai Namco announced numerous online events in "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" which includes Frieza Siege Events, Level Up Campaigns, Character Tournaments, and Raid Bosses.
"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" is currently available in the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
