New updates for the "Spider-Man" PS4 game will feature a possible virtual reality gameplay and a E3 2017 appearance.
It seems that the possibility of seeing the new "Spider-Man" game details could happen next month during this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo.
IGN theorized that Insomniac Games could feature a full-gameplay trailer of the "Spider-Man" PS4 game, not to mention its official video game title. With the upcoming Marvel movie "Spider-Man: Homecoming" a month away from the event, the publication stated that showcasing the game featuring the web-slinger could build a powerful wave of momentum for both projects.
Meanwhile, Marvel Games could add something interesting into the "Spider-Man" PS4 as they will be venturing into the virtual reality world soon.
Senior vice president of games and innovations Jay Ong told GameSpot that they are excited about the possibilities of having VR projects in their Marvel titles and does not want to make VR games for the "novelty" of it.
Ong added that the new "Spider-Man" title could be one of the best video games in the PlayStation 4. Could this mean that Marvel Games could incorporate VR features in the "Spider-Man" PS4 game?
While Marvel has not made any comments regarding VR in "Spider-Man" PS4, gaming fans might find it interesting seeing as they want to see how the web-slinger swings from building after building in his point-of-view.
Ong obviously did not give any further details, but he did tease some information could be coming in the near future after being asked when we might here more about Marvel Games and VR by saying “soon.” He then continued by stating that there are absolutely things in the works, but he and Marvel are just not quite ready to announce them yet.
Both Marvel and Insomniac Games stated that they will be showcasing new gameplay for "Spider-Man" PS4 within the year.
There are also rumors that "Spider-Man" PS4 could launch on Dec. 26 via GameStop. While there is a chance that the December release date could be just a placeholder, Marvel did promised gaming fans that the game will launch this year. Marvel Digital Media vice president and executive editor Ryan Penagos stated in an interview that "Spider-Man" will indeed launch this year alongside "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" on September.
Gaming and Marvel fans will just have to wait for further announcement for the "Spider-Man" PS4 game soon.
"Spider-Man" is speculated to launch sometime in 2017 for the PS4.
