"The Sims 4" may have some more surprises and secret expansion on the cards. A fresh clue further claims that Pets DLC is in the offing and in development for the popular simulation game.
Eagle-eyed fans have recently spotted Dennis Lai has indicated in his profile his experience in quadropreds, toddlers, and human character animations. Apparently, Lai is a game animator who joined Electronic Arts and come aboard The Sims Team in August 2016 to present.
It appears that this is a reliable information since it is coming from a company employee. Quadrupeds is term used to to four-legged animals and so, Lai is in fact part of the team working on the long rumored Pets Expansion "The Sims 4".
It is also noted that since he began working for the company in August last year, it is assumed that the animations for "The Sims 4" Pets DLC have commenced with development in summer.
Earlier, game enthusiast and modder TwistedMexi also data mined some game files that reveal the possible contents of the Pets DLC. The leaker claimed that the said expansion will feature cats and dogs while there is no indication of other pets such as horses.
These pets can walk on objects such as counters, bars, fridge, tables as well as on beds. In addition, there are no other clues that hint other pet-supported surfaces for pets to walk on.
It is possible still that once Maxis confirms "The Sims 4" Pets DLC, there will be more features coming but for now, two pets are revealed yet from the said small excerpt from the code.
Prior to the leaked codes, Maxis rolled out two surveys to fans with one survey pertained to "Small Pets". Among the choices were birds, ferret, guinea, pig, reptiles but it did not menntion cats, dogs, or horses.
While Maxis has not confirmed the Pets Expansion for "The Sims 4", it is best to take this with a grain of salt. In the meantime, fans can look forward to Parenthood Game Pack set to arrive on May 30.
