All eyes have turned towards the upcoming WWDC set to occur for 2017. Reports have surfaced that the 2017 iPad Pro 2 will be added as one of the flagship devices but the Siri Speaker and the Macbook Air would not be around.
The event is scheduled sooner than expected. By June 5 to June 9, 2017, the event will be launched. That being said, so many speculations are on the rise. While many things are rumored for WWDC 2017, iOS 11 will almost certainly be shown off along with the 2017 iPad Pro 2.
While software is usually the focus of WWDC, we do sometimes get major hardware announcements too, and this year the iPad Pro 2 could be the headline announcement, but there is no confirmation that it is added, however, a respected analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reckons there's around a 70 percent chance of a 10.5-inch iPad Pro 2 showing up.
A separate report also relayed that there are more rumors implying that Apple might be focusing more on a 10.5in version of the iPad Pro 2 instead of the 12.9in thanks to an Urban Armor Gear casing listing and the case manufacturer appears to be getting ready to release a new 10.5in case in June, the leak coming from an Apple authorized reseller.
Moreover, the main reason to take this with a pinch of salt is if the new iPad Pro does feature a bezel-free design, this wouldn't fit the specs of the case and thus would make it redundant, although it does seem odd for Apple to go bezel-less on the iPad before the new iPhone is revealed officially, so the argument for a 10.5in iPad Pro is pretty convincing at the moment, reports the same post.
As for the Siri Speaker and the MacBook Air removed from the list of devices to be unveiled in the upcoming WDDC, that remains to be seen. For the rumor mills, regarding Apple's devices and particularly the 2017 iPad Pro 2, everything should be taken with a grain of salt in mind.
