New superstars could be on their way to the roster of the brand new "WWE 2K18", similar to the past iteration of the WWE 2K series. The latest entry of the series is expected to get a release date in October this year.
The playable roster of this year's edition will be filled up with Wrestling superstars from different times just like the past video games released for the franchise. The previous tilte, "WWE 2K17", saw the inclusion of 156 characters and 16 alternate versions to play in several matches.
Brock Lesnar also returned to grace the cover of "WWE 2K17" for more than a decade since Smackdown! Here Comes The Pain back in 2003. In this year's game edition, popular choices as the next cover star includes AJ Styles, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, Bray Wyatt, Finn Balor and Kevin Owens.
Fans can look forward to a possible reveal of the game's cover star and other details at E3 2017. The event will be held in Los Angeles and will run from June 10 up to June 15.
But prior to the much anticipated announcement, analysts already have a list of supertars that will likely debut or return to the next game. It includes Kurt Angle, Mickie James, Bobby Roode, and other NXT superstars.
Kurt Angle
Kurt Angle will likely return to the "WWE 2K18", however, it seems highly likely that he will not be included in the main roster. Angle was featured in the "WWE 2K17" and headlined the 2017 Hall of Fame before he assumed the position of General Manager of Monday Night Raw.
Mickie James and Maryse
WWE fans saw the return of Mickie James just last January and there is no doubt that she will be added to the playable roster of "WWE 2K18". It is also plausible that Maryse would be part of this year's list since she and The Miz fought John Cena and Nikki Bella alongside at Wrestlemania 2017.
The Hardy Boyz
The addition of The Hardy Boyz to the next WWE 2K game is considered to be almost confirmed after winning the Raw Tag Team titles at Wrestlemania this year. However, it is uncertain that the "Broken" gimmick will be included as well.
Bobby Roode
Another sure addition to this year's roster is Bobby Roode, the current NXT Champion. He is touted as among the highly anticipated characters that players want to see in "WWE 2K18".
NXT Superstars
Lastly, the NXT superstars who would most probably make it to "WWE 2K18" are Aleister Black, Andrade "Cien" Almas, Billie Kay, Drew Mcintyre, Johnny Gargano, Tomasso Ciampa, Peyton Royce, Kassius Ohno, Ember Moon, Eric Young, Roderick Strong, Alexandre Wolf, Killian Dain, Nikki Cross, Ruby Riot, and No Way Jose.
