'The Witcher 3' DLC update: CD Projekt RED tease larger contents for 'Blood and Wine'; 'The Witcher 4' being teased soon?

Latest details for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" will feature a large content for the "Blood and Wine" DLC and a fourth instalment of the game series in the works soon.

"Blood and Wine" expansion is the latest and last expansion of "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" story as CF Projekt RED Producer Jakub Szamalek told Eurogamer that the expansion will conclude Geralt's journey. The new expansion is said to be larger than "Hearts of Stone" DLC and gamers will atleast 20 hours of game time on there hands.

The plot of the DLC will feature Geralt travelling to the region of Touissant in Novigrad, were its peaceful atmosphere contains a dark and terrible secret. New characters are being introduced in the "Blood and Wine Expansion" such as the Dutchess of Touissant Anna Henriatta and the evil sorcerer Vilgefortz. Frigello Vigo will also make her return to the game as one of the possible romantic interest of Geralt.

Players will also encounter new monsters like Manticore, Stringas and Bruxas, as well as new ModKits that gamers and PC modders can use to create new mods. CD Projekt RED stated that more details for "Blood and Wine" will be announced soon before the and of April, thus confirming that the DLC could launch within the first quarter this year.

In other news, there are rumors making rounds that CD Projekt RED could be making a fourth instalment for "The Witcher" soon.

CEO Marcin Iwiński stated in an interview that "The Witcher" game series should "deserve a rest" since the gamer developers and focusing now on their next project, "Cyeberpunk 2077".

However, co-founder Michał Kiciński teased that "The Witcher" game series will still continue, but with a different perspective. Kiciński stated that it is too early to talk about a possible "The Witcher 4" game, but the brand itself is not being forgotten, given the recpetion that fans have given to the game, he felt that it will not be fair for them to end the franchise so soon, Gamepressure reported.

Perhaps CD Projekt RED will be indulging a new character in "The Witcher 4" giving the franchise a new life, now that Geralts tale has ended. For now the game developers will be working on "Cyberpunk 2077" and hoped that it will bring the same success as "The Witcher" game series.

"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
