Google Nexus 2016 release will reportedly come soon as Nexus 6 discounts are spotted on Amazon.
Amazon offers huge discounts on Nexus 6 smartphone, which will turn two-years-old this year. There is a huge drop on the price of 32GB Nexus 6 from $649.99 to $349.99, which cuts the price $300 off. The discounted model has LTE-support and is available in midnight blue color variant.
The Nexus 6 was made by Motorola and boasts a 5.96-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen at 1440 x 1560 pixels. Under the hood, the smartphone packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805, Adreno 420, and quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450, in addition to 32 or 64GB internal memory and 3GB of RAM. The handset runs with Android OS version 5.0 Lollipop that can be upgraded to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The device has a non-removable Li-Po 3220 mAh battery can last up to 330 hours in stand-by mode.
Aside from Nexus 6, HTC Nexus 9 also received ample discounts. Nexus 9 is offered at $399, down from its original price of $479.99.
Meanwhile, Google Nexus 2016 release is rumored to happen in May at Google's annual I/O Developers' Conference. Other rumors claimed the device will be launched in October.
This year, Google will work with Chinese manufacturer Huawei for the rumored Nexus 2016. Huawei delivered the expectations of Google in making the popular Nexus 6P. This is supported by a Weibo post from an unnamed tipster saying that Google is already working on the new tablet and Huawei will most likely to take the helm, according to Phone Radar. There are whispers that Google is also mulling whether it will solicit the help of HTC in making the new Nexus handset.
Google Nexus 2016 will pack its same old 7-inch screen display. It will be powered by Huawei's homegrown processor Kirin 950 chipset or NVIDIA Tegra X1 processor paired with 2GB of RAM. The tablet will surely run with the upcoming Android N operating system. The dessert name of the OS is still unknown, but Nougat and Nutella are some of the candidates.
Meanwhile, there is still no official announcement from Google about the official release date and features of the rumored Google Nexus 2016.
