For the past several years, Elon Musk has been noted for being a consistent vocal critic of Artificial Intelligence, painting nightmare scenarios in which it becomes weaponized or outsmarts humans that can most likely end up to extinction. That said, the Tesla and Space X founder has recently claimed that humans' puny brains will be outmatched by computers at just about everything by 2030 or even closer. In addition, a new alarming research from boffs at the University of Oxford, has also suggested that the future doesn't look good for the human race.

Robot Domination

As per The Sun, the research shows that machines will outperform humans at an almost everything level. What is more, the study finds that from translating languages by 2024 and writing school essays by 2026, artificial intelligence could potentially sweep, and surpass humans in a number of other milestones, which may potentially lead to extinction. As a matter of fact, the research has also claimed that within the next 120 years, every single human job will be automated.

Furthermore, aside from Elon Musk, more than 350 artificial intelligence researchers believe that artificial intelligence will outperform humans in all sorts of tasks. As it turns out, when the surveyed researchers are limited by region, those from Asia predict that AI will dominate the world in the next 30 years on average. Researchers from North America, on the other hand, are said to have dragged the overall average back to 45 years with their regional average of 74 years. Still, regardless of these regional differences, one common thing between the other research findings and Musk's estimate is that AI will soon come, and that it's something humans need to prepare for.

Musk's Proposition

Meanwhile, despite the threats posed by the artificial intelligence, Elon Musk seemed to have been unlikely troubled as he has reportedly devised a plan to address the issue. It was found that Musk's famous neural lace concept would allegedly be able to solve the problem. It was found that he has just recently launched a new neuroscience company that aims to develop cranial computers, which is said to have the ability of downloading thoughts and even treat disorders such as epilepsy and depression. As of the press time however, it seems that Musk will have to do a lot of work in spreading awareness about his thoughts and predictions concerning AI.
