The latest details for "Destiny 2" will feature possible cross-game items from Blizzard Entertainment and Bungie to address "The Darkness" in the sequel.

PC users can purchase the PC version of "Destiny 2" on the Blizzard Launcher and several players hinted that the game will likely maintain the launcher's full functionality such as the cross-game chat, ease of adding friends, and more.

With that being said, "Destiny 2" will play alongside Blizzard game titles like "Overwatch," "Heroes of the Storm" and "World of Warcraft," cross-game items might be available in their future.

However, Bungie's community manager David Dague stated during the E3 2017 event that there is certainly no telling where the relationship between them and Blizzard will bring in the future, but he and the developers have any announcements of cross-game promotions or engagements at this time, PvP Live reported.

While there is no plans for cross-game items for "Destiny 2," Dague did not necessarily ruled out the possibility and will likely have to wait for aan announcement soon before the game's launch on the PC in October.

Meanwhile, Bungie will likely address "The Darkness" role in "Destiny 2's" main plot.

Game director Luke Smith told Game Informer that while "The Darkness" has been relatively been referrenced in the first "Destiny" game, it will not be addressed in the sequel due to the fact that Bungie wanted to remove as much of the extra terminology as possible and focus on telling the game's story instead.

Smith added that they do not really know what "The Darkness" really is in "Destiny's" lore and went on to reveal that the studio considered grouping all the races together and collectively referring to them as "The Darkness," but the team ultimately decided the franchise deserves a better explanation.

"Destiny 2" is set to launch on Sept. 6 for the PS4 and Xbox One, while the PC version will be release on Oct. 24.
