New details for "Resident Evil 2' remake will feature a possible release date next year and Claire Redfield voice-actress not returning to the game.
Bad news for gaming fans as voice-actress Alyson Court wlill not reprising her role as Claire Redfield in the "Resident Evil 2" remake and uploaded a video message explaining her departure from the game.

According to Court, Capcom initially reached out to her to have her come back for the "Resident Evil 2" remake. However, the company that Japanese publisher hired to localize the remake, which was not named in Court’s video, apparently decided to go with a non-union voice actor to play Claire in the upcoming game.
Court was known to voice Claire in "Resident Evil 2" and in "Resident Evil Code: Veronica" games.
In response, Court uploaded another video in response to Capcom's decision to leave her out of "Resident Evil 2" remake and stated that she was not upset about being replaced if it was for creative decisions.
However, Court takes issue with being replaced because she is union, and feels as though Capcom replacing her is against the will of the gaming fans.
There have been a couple of petitions that appeared online, since Court's initial video demanding that Capcom bring her back for the "Resident Evil 2" remake. The petitions have generated a few hundred signatures, but the situation is a little more complicated than Capcom simply reaching out and bringing her back to play Claire Redfield.
While fans were upset about Capcom's decision to cut Court from the game, others are wondering if the Japanese publisher might be adding new dialogues in "Resident Evil 2" remake, which could translate into completely new story sequences. If that is the case, it appears as though Capcom was not exaggerating when it said that the "Resident Evil 2" would be a full remake and not a simple remaster, Gamerant reported.
Unfortunately, Capcom did not feature "Resident Evil 2" remake in this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo and it will be while for Capcom to announce a first game footage for the game soon. "Resident Evil 2" remake was announced by Capcom in August 2015 following the closure of fan-made project, "Resident Evil 2: Reborn."
Capcom has not made any announcement, or even shown footage related to the game. However, it has been hinted that the remake could turn up for the 20th anniversary of the PlayStation original, as publisher is launching a major title by March 31, 2018., PlayStation Universe reported.
For now, gaming fans will have to wait for further updates regarding "Resident Evil 2" remake development soon.
