New updates for "Overwatch" will feature two legendary skins in standard loot boxes and save game highlights confirmed.
It seems that the recent patch update for "Overwatch" might have contained something interesting for gaming fans as two Blizzard exclusive character skins can now be unlocked in standard loot boxes within the game.
These skins are Officer D.Va and Oni Genji, and gamers will have chance unlock them in "Overwatch" without any special conditions or crossplay with other games like "Heroes of the Storm," VG 24/7 reported. The patch 1.12 contains the new game map, Horizo Lunar Colony along with several buffs and nerfs for the characters.
The Horizon Lunar Colony map, which was first announced last month, is set on the moon. A portion of the new "Overwatch" map includes a low-gravity area, but this functionality extends to other maps. When creating a Custom Game, players can now adjust both player and projectile gravity to make for a much different sort of experience on any map.
The patch 1.12 will also have changes for several "Overwatch" characters like Roadhog, McCree, Reaper, Reinhardt, Orisa and Mercy.Other fixes include Health Pack Respawn issues, unintended locations in Cairo and Eichenwalde, and UI problems in Limited Dual games.
In other news, game director Jeff Kaplan confirmed that "Overwatch's" highligt system is being overhauled and gamers can now have the ability to save their game highlights from the game.
The save game highlight has been the most requested feature that "Overwatch" fans have been waiting for as Kaplan and the development team have been working hard to give them what they want, PC Gamer reported.
The game will still continue to collect the player's highlights, and suggest top highlights for them. Under the new system, those top five highlights will always persist for the next 24 hours. More importantly, there is now a "recently captured" section of the Highlights theater that will collect clips the player's manually recorded.
Player's can press a capture key and the game will bookmark and remember that bit of gameplay, saving it into a 12 second clip. Then, from the highlights menu, they can save and export those moments in a variety of ways. Up to 32 "recently captured" highlights will be saved.
For PC users, tit will give them the option to record the video in many different ways. For example if they are playing on a low-end system that cannot handle high-end graphics settings, users can still output the video at 4K 60fps. The higher-res settings they choose, the larger the file will b and it is all customizable.
For now, the save highlights is currently being testes in "Overwatch's" PTR.
"Overwatch" is currently available for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
