"PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" week 13 update is now out, promising improved game performance and addresses multiple bug issues. The developer scheduled server maintenance for the patch deployment today, June 2 at 5 PM KST / 8 AM UTC / 1 AM PDT.
Subsequently, the game's official Twitter announced that the update is now live and players are advised to restart Steam to get the weekly update. So, here are the patch notes for the week 13 update for "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" (via Steam):
Server Performance
The issue on server performance where its performance in certain circumstances was dropping drastically is now resolved.
Client Performance
The rendering performance of other characters and the client performance during ranged combat are now improved.
The rendering performance of vehicles, motorbikes, and boats when seen at a distance is now improved, and the rendering performance of weapon effects at a longer distance is also improved.
Bug Fixes
The client crash that happens when players changes their character appearance is now fixed, as well as the bug that casing players to fire more ammunition than the amount loaded on their weapon is now fixed.
The bug causing lung icon to display as full but despite such is taking damage due to lack of oxygen underwater is now fixed, and the bug that caused players to enter the DBNO state after drowning is also fixed. "You will now die immediately after taking fatal damage from lack of oxygen," the notes read.
The bug that causing the wooden doors inside houses to have a metallic gloss is now fixed, and the issue with indoor walls and objects overlapping each other is now addressed.
The bug in "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" that caused some parts of the clothing shown when firing a weapon while aiming down sights, using 4x or higher scopes is now fixed.
The bug that preventing the use of healing items after players fire in full auto mode is also fixed.
The bug that causing flower beds to be shown incorrectly when at a distance is now fixed. The bug that causing a character to be stuck in terrain, and the bug that causing the camera to pass through some objects are both partially fixed.
The update also prevented users from removing shadows by changing the Steam launch options.
"Player Unknown's Battlegrounds" is currently available on PC, while Xbox One version is set for release by the end of 2017. A PS4 version of the game is also planned.
