The highly anticipated "The Elder Scrolls 6" is happening amid recent reports that it is not in development - yet. Meanwhile, a new leak that surfaced online suggest "Elder Scrolls: Skyrim" release date on Nintendo Switch.
E3 2017 Update from Pete Hines
Amid reports that "The Elder Scrolls 6" is not in development, Tweak Town has clarified in its article that Bethesda still has plans to make TES6, although, it is not on the company's top priority list. The game developer reportedly has three AAA titles in the pipeline, said to be completely unique and different than anything it has ever created.
The publication further stated that one of these titles is "The Elder Scrolls 6", which has yet to reach the early phases of production. This is what Pete Hines told Geoff Keighley at E3 2017, which fans can review in the video embedded below.
Geoff Keighley reminded Hines about Todd Howard about Bethesda's several titles in development, including a new Elder Scrolls game down the line. To which Hines replied saying: "Down the road down the road. To re-iterate they have at least two major titles they're working on before we're going to get to Elder Scrolls VI."
Hines' statement, therefore, backs up the fact that "The Elder Scrolls 6" is in the mind of Bethesda Game Studios and its development in the near future is not being ruled out at all. The game developer has yet to focus on a couple of big IPs at this time and after which, it will be ready to take on the "Skyrim" sequel next.
Elder Scrolls: Skyrim Leaked Release Date
Talking about "Elder Scrolls: Skyrim", a fresh leak may have already revealed the game's release date on Nintendo Switch. The Amazon US listing indicates that the game will be released on Nov. 28, GamingBolt reported, however, it was switched to Dec. 29 as a placeholder date.
If the Nov. 28 release date is anything to go by, it seems more plausible since it falls on a Tuesday when video game releases are scheduled to launch in the US. So far, "Elder Scrolls: Skyrim" has a 2017 release window.
