Microsoft Lumia 950 XL Now Available With $100 Price Cut

The Microsoft Lumia 950 XL is now available with a discount of $100.

B&H Photo is selling the most powerful Windows 10 Mobile OS powered smartphone, the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL, with a discount of $100. The usual price of the smartphone is $629. However, with the new price cut, the Lumia 950 XL can be availed for $529 only, Windows Central reported.

The retailer is offering the smartphone in two colors such as black and white. It is limited period offer that is expected to end soon. However, the retailer has not mentioned the last date of the offer.

The Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL smartphones were released in the U.S. in November last year. The Lumia 950 is available through AT&T in the U.S. However, no other U.S. carriers are selling the Lumia 950 smartphone.

On the other hand, the Lumia 950 XL is unavailable through any carrier in the U.S. The unlocked smartphone can be purchased either from Microsoft Store or through any of its retailing partners.

The Lumia 950 XL sports a slim profile of 8.1 mm and weighs 165 grams. It is fitted with a huge display of 5.7 inches that supports a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The display offers a pixel density of 518 ppi along with a screen-to-body ratio of 74.3 percent.

As of this writing, the Lumia 950 XL is the only smartphone that is powered by Snapdragon 810 chipset. The SoC is coupled with 3 GB of RAM.  The native storage available on the 950 XL is 32 GB.  On the external storage, the smartphone supports up to 200 GB of microSD.

It features a 20 MP rear camera that is coupled with features like optical image stabilization and triple-LED flash. The front-facing camera is of 5 MP.

The Lumia 950 XL comes with usual connectivity features such as 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, v4.1 Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and aGPS. The smartphone also comes with unique features such as iris scanner and USB Type-C slot.

The smartphone comes preinstalled with Windows 10 Mobile OS. It carries support for Continuum for phones, a feature that allows users to connect it to a larger screen to use it as a full-fledged computer, WinBeta reported. The Lumia 950 XL features a removable battery of 3340 mAh that comes with features like Qi-enabled wireless charging and fast charging.
