Alcatel's first 2-in-1 hybrid runs Windows 10, and includes a keyboard, internal battery and LTE wireless connectivity. The Plus 10 also features three modes including tablet, laptop, and display for watching TV shows and movies
However, other specs of Plus 10 are less impressive. They include a 10.1-inch display, 1.92 GHz Intel Atom processor, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal memory.
The tablet/laptop device also includes a MicroSD slot. This allows users to double the storage capacity to 64GB.
Alcatel's tablet has other key specs. They include a 1,280 x 800 pixel resolution, 5,830mAh battery, two front-facing speakers, 2MP front-facing camera, and 5MP rear camera.
Plus 10 includes inductive charging like Google's Pixel C. Users can slide the tablet off the keyboard via magnets that are not very strong, according to Digital Trends.
In addition, the angle of the display cannot be adjusted. Thus, the screen is only useful when the user is watching from above the display.
However the non-adjustable display night not be an issue. Adding the newest version of Microsoft's OS could mean it was built to be used by people on the go, with the battery of the keyboard and tablet lasting a total 8 hours, according to The Verge.
Finally, the touchpad is small and does not respond well but is better than the tablet having no keyboard.
A price has not been sent for the Plus 10, although the unofficial estimates are $280 for the Wi-Fi version and $390 for the 4G variety. It will go on sale in Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East in June of this year.
Alcatel is also showing off several other items at this year's Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain. They include two Idol 4 smartphones, and Pixi phones of different sizes.
The Alcatel Idol 4s is making a big splash at MWC 2016. It includes a strong construction and high-end specs.
Idol 4's features include a metal frame, front/back Gorilla Glass 3 sheets, and 5.5-inch AMOLED display with 534ppi pixel density. The interior specs include Snapdragon 652 chipset, and 3GB of RAM. Idol4 can also be used upside-down, and activates surround sound when the phone is rotated in landscape.
