Variety in features being offered by two technology manufacturers HTC and Apple are giving customers a tough time to choose from their flagship models - HP Elite X3 and Apple iPhone 6S Plus. While Apple scores on 6S Plus' design, HP gives a tough fight with the rugged-look Elite X3.
MWC 2016 marked the beginning of a new product for HP with its Elite x3, and it faces a stiff competition to Apple's iPhone 6S Plus. According to Ecumenical News, Apple dominates the battle on the design front with its fingerprint sensor mounted in the home screen button. Its 3D touch technology is also a plus point that senses the amount of pressure applied by the user. However, The verge claims that the latest version of Elite X3 comes with Iris scanner and fingerprint sensor at the back below its camera.
People who are looking to flaunt with Elite X3, there is not much availability in colors as it is only available in black, whereas iPhone 6S Plus offers gray, silver, gold and rose gold; however, plus points to the Windows based Elite X3 is it can work like a tablet and can be attached to keyboard, mouse and bigger screens. For the rugged ones biggest advantage with Elite x3 is that it is waterproof and can withstand vibrations and thermal shock with MIL-STD 810G certification and IP67 rating plus support to wireless charging.
HP Elite X3 comes with a 4GB RAM, that's 2GB more than Apple iPhone 6S Plus, which only offers 2GB RAM. Internal memory of HP Elite X3 is 64GB while Apple iPhone 6S Plus comes with three storage variations - 16GB, 64GB and 128 GB. On the other hand, Elite X3's version can support up to 200GB of external storage via microSD, unlike Apple's iPhone 6S Plus where there is no such slot.
In terms of camera, the iPhone 6S Plus comes with a 12MP rear camera while Elite X3 offers a 16MP back camera.
In terms of screen display, HP Elite X3 is equipped with 5.96-inch screen with 1440x2560 pixel resolution at 493 ppi, while iPhone 6S Plus sports 5.5-inch screen display with 1080x1920 pixel resolution at 401 ppi.
The iPhone 6S Plus comes with Apple A9 chipset coupled with dual-core CPU and PowerVR GT7600 GPU for, while Elite X3 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset coupled with a quad-core CPU and an Adreno 530 GPU.
