Fresh rumors about HTC 10 suggests that the smartphone will be featuring a Super LCD5 screen and it will be packed with a large battery of 3000 mAh capacity.
Evan Blass, the popular leakster has revealed new information on the HTC 10 smartphone that is expected to get announced on April 9. He has revealed that the Taiwanese tech giant will be using a Super LCD 5 display on the HTC 10 instead of an AMOLED screen, Neowin reported.
The Super LCD 5 will be capable of delivering better visibility, produce less glare and consume less power. As compared to a conventional LCD screen, the Super LCD screen does not have air gap between the screen glass and display component. The Super LCD display technology is currently only used by HTC on its smartphones, Phone Arena reported.
The leakster has also revealed that the HTC 10 will be housing a 3000 mAh battery. The HTC One M9 from 2015 features a Super LCD 3 technology driven display and is powered by 2840 mAh capacity battery. Like the HTC One M9, the HTC 10 is also expected to sport a 5.1-inch screen. However, it is unclear whether the company will continue to offer full HD or Quad HD resolution on the device.
HTC is building a lot of hype on the HTC 10 smartphone as one of the recent teasers have suggested that it will be coming with a "world first, world class" camera. In the recent past too, HTC had teased that its 2016 flagship smartphone will be capable of delivering compelling camera experience.
However, the company has not revealed any configuration details on the front and rear cameras of HTC 10. Rumors are rife that it will be sporting a 12.3 MP camera on its rear panel.
The Snapdragon 820 chipset is expected to power the HTC 10 smartphone along with 4 GB of RAM. The leaked photos of the smartphone have revealed that it will be fitted with a physical Home button below the display that may house a fingerprint scanner. It is also expected to feature USB Type-C port.
Smartphone companies like Samsung, LG and Lenovo are offering VR (virtual reality) devices along with their flagship smartphones. HTC has already announced its Vive VR headset that supports both Android and iOS. Rumors suggest that the HTC 10 will carry support for Vive VR headset that will allow users to view phone's notification on the VR screen.
