Apple has announced its newest tablet, the 9.7-inch iPad Pro on March 21. It pricing, specs, features, and country availability has been revealed.
Apple has introduced a new tablet that is nothing but a smaller edition of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro that was released last year in September. In terms of appearance as well as internal specs, the newly launched 9.7-inch iPad Pro resembles its larger sibling.
9.7-inch iPad Pro Specifications And Features
The 9.7-inch iPad Pro comes with a 9.7-inch display that supports a screen resolution of 2048 x 2732 pixels. The display is equipped with ambient sensors that can automatically adjust the color saturation of the display according to the ambient temperature.
The tablet is powered by Apple A9X chipset along with 4 GB of RAM. It is equipped with a rear-facing camera of 12 MP whereas it houses a front-facing camera of 5 MP. Like the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, its smaller edition also features 4 sets of speakers. The Smart Keyboard and Smart Pencil from Apple are compatible with the new tablet.
9.7-inch iPad Pro Price
The 9.7-inch iPad Pro is available in both Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi + LTE versions. The Wi-Fi only 32 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB models of the table cost $599, $749 and $899, respectively. The Wi-Fi + LTE 32 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB models cost $729, $879 and $1029, respectively, GSM Arena reported. The new tablet comes in multiple color choices like silver, space gray, gold and rose gold.
9.7-inch iPad Pro Preorders And Availability
All the variants of the newly introduced iPad Pro will be available on preorders starting from March 24. From March 31, the shipment of the preordered units will begin. The first set of countries that will receive the new tablet starting from March 31 include Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Singapore, the UK, US Virgin Islands and the US. In China, Apple will be selling only the Wi-Fi variants of the 9.7-inch iPad Pro.
From April, the 9.7-inch iPad Pro will be hitting other markets like Albania, Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Cayman Islands, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, El Salvador, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Greenland, Guam, Guatemala, Hungary, Iceland, India, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Lichtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Macau (Wi-Fi models only), Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand (Wi-Fi models only), Turkey and UAE, Phone Arena reported.
