Apple has filed a patent application, hinting that the corporate may be engaged on standard sensible bands for the Apple Watch, permitting users to feature functions like wireless charging battery packs and GPS receivers to an existing measuring device.

Rather than structure elements into the Apple Watch chassis, the style propose breaking practical units out into a variety of separate watch band links, which will work serially or in parallel. The patent application, titled "Modular practical band links for wearable devices," was revealed by the U.S. Patent and Trademark workplace and it details strap styles with embedded electronic devices that connect via the Apple Watch's diagnostics port. Apple is good enough for the next upcoming generation.

A number of Apple Watch accessories with additional practicality are delineated within the patent, together with batteries, displays, processors, electricity generators, GPS sensors, cameras, thermometers, vital sign sensors, sweat sensors and speakers.

Arranged as links, the modules would hook up with one another and to the 6-pin diagnostics port on the Apple Watch. In some cases, links additionally act as an external port for accretive electronic elements like a SIM card or high-powered memory module.

Even before the launch of the Apple Watch, the inclusion of diagnostics port on the device fires speculation that Apple is attending to bring sensible band accessories to plug at some purpose within the future. However, if the patent is indicative of approaching Apple Watch product, such a major extension of practicality would seemingly be back for this inclusion with the second-generation device.

Apple Watch is anticipated to launch later within the year. Apple reinvigorated its Apple Watch line-up in March 21, 2016 introducing new spring and different colours such as yellow, blue, and pink, alongside new Nylon Apple Watch bands.
