The early benchmarks of the upcoming OnePlus 3 reveal that it will feature a Snapdragon 820 chipset and 6 GB of RAM.
Multiple variants of the alleged OnePlus 3 smartphone have surfaced on benchmarking sites like AnTuTu, GFXBench and GeekBench. In March, the AnTuTu benchmarking site had revealed that the A3000 model of OnePlus would be arriving with a 5.5-inch screen that would support full HD resolution, Gizmo China reported.
It also revealed that the Snapdragon 820 and 4 GB RAM would be powering the OnePlus 2 successor. It would be coming with a native storage option of 32 GB. It also revealed that it would be featuring a 16 MP rear camera and an 8 MP frontal camera. It would be running on the latest edition of OxygenOS that will be based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
The OnePlus 3 variant benchmarked on the other benchmarking sites suggests that it would be coming with a 5-inch full HD screen and SD 820 chipset. The native storage of the device is 64 GB. It would be featuring a 16 MP rear camera and a front-facing camera of 8 MP. It will also feature NFC connectivity and it would be launching Android 6.0.1. OS onboard. These specifications are quite similar to the A3000 model spotted on AnTuTu, Android Headlines reported.
The model number A3000 carries a codename of "Rain Rain" on GeekBench and it is listed with 6 GB of RAM. However, the same A3000 model that has a codename of "Rain" on GFXBench is listed with 4 GB of RAM. Fresh speculations indicate that the "Rain Rain" variant that features 6 GB of RAM is a high-end version of "Rain."
The OnePlus One that came in 2014 and OnePlus 2 from last year both feature 5.5-inch displays. Hence, its successor is also expected to house a 5.5-inch screen. One of the OnePlus models that feature 5-inch screen is also rumored to belong to the successor model for the midrange OnePlus X smartphone that was launched last year.
Recently, the smartphone was predicted to launch at the end of this month. However, the speculation was officially debunked by OnePlus. Carl Pei, the co-founder of the Chinese firm has confirmed that the OnePlus 3 release date will be placed in June.
