Apple CEO Tim Cook Teases Apple iPhone 7

(Photo : Reuters) With tons of rumors and speculations regarding the Apple iPhone 7, the ones that stands out and the most talked about it the smartphone’s form factor.

In March, Apple unveiled the newest addition to their smartphone line, the iPhone SE. The phone, which is touted to have the specifications of the iPhone 6 in the accessible size of the iPhone 5S, has since garnered rave reviews from tech insiders.

Despite the fanfare surrounding the iPhone SE, Apple enthusiasts are without a doubt looking forward to Apple's next generation iPhone - the iPhone 7.  Apple execs have yet to reveal details about the upcoming smartphone; however, Tim Cook, current CEO of the tech giant, have since teased Apple fans about what iPhone 7 has to offer.

The Apple CEO recently sat down with Jim Cramer for CNBC's Mad Money, and during the interview as reported by 9 to 5 Mac, Cook revealed that the iPhone 7 would be a game changer. While remaining coy, Cook explained that the iPhone 7 would have functions that people would not be able to live without.

"We are going to give you things that you can't live without that you just don't know you need today," quipped Cook during the interview with Cramer.

Elsewhere, rumors about the soon-to-be unveiled phone have made their way online. By all accounts, the upgrades are revolutionary.

According to Tom's Guide, Apple recently filed a patent that hints on the possibility of the iPhone 7 doing away with the standard 3.55 headphone jack. According to the patent spotted by Apple Insider as reported by Tom's guide, the headphones would instead be plugged into the iPhone's Lightening port. This speculated feature could possibly lend to an even thinner iPhone.

Moreover, there are rumors that Apple's Smart Connector technology would be included in the iPhone 7. Considering the rumors about the headphone jack, the iPhone 7 adapting the smart connector is a big possibility especially since the lightening port would be occupied by the headphones.

There is also a persistent speculation claiming that the iPhone 7 would be equipped with a dual-camera system boasting of two different lenses that would be able to collect more image data. Like the latest iPhone products in the the market, the iPhone 7 is expected to have the same 12 megapixel capability.
