Fresh speculations suggest that Samsung is working on Galaxy Note 6 Lite that will feature high-end specs and cheaper price tag.
Rumors are rife that Samsung is working on a 'Lite' edition of its upcoming flagship, Galaxy Note 6. This variant of the smartphone will be arriving with cheaper pricing, but it will sport advanced specs, Slash Gear reported.
The alleged Galaxy Note 6 Lite will be featuring a 5.8-inch display. Instead of supporting Quad HD resolution, the smartphone will be carrying support for full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It will be fueled by Snapdragon 820 chipset and 4 GB of RAM. Rumors indicate that regular version of Galaxy Note 6 will be powered by Snapdragon 823 chipset, an upgraded variant of SD 820.
The SD 823 chip on the alleged Galaxy Note 6 will be able to deliver clocking speeds of 3.0 GHz. At present, numerous smartphone OEM have either launched Snapdragon 820 chipset powered smartphones or are working releasing them soon.
For launching low-end versions of 2016 flagships, several smartphone manufacturers have used Snapdragon 652 chipset. For instance, the LG G5 is also available in Snapdragon 652 in select regions whereas its regular is powered by Snapdragon 820. The HTC 10 Lifestyle features SD 652 whereas its normal version is fueled by SD 820. It goes without saying that the Snapdragon 820 powered Galaxy Note 6 Lite will be one of the strongest performing smartphones.
Early speculations suggest that the Galaxy Note 6 will be featuring 6 GB of RAM. The smartphone is expected to come in multiple storage options of 64 GB, 128 GB and even 256 GB.
Rumors also indicate that the Galaxy Note 6 will be launched in two models, one featuring a regular flat screen whereas the other will be endowed dual-edge curved display. Like the Galaxy S7 models, the Note 6 is expected to arrive with IP68 certified chassis.
The smartphone is also speculated be featuring a USB Type-C port. If it comes true, it will become the first Samsung smartphone to arrive with it. The existing Gear VR headset is equipped with a microUSB slot. Since Galaxy Note 6 is rumored to house a USB Type-C, speculations also suggest the South Korean tech giant may introduce a new Gear VR headset that will be equipped with a USB Type-C port, Sam Mobile reported. The rumor mill has also hinted that the Note 6 will arrive with a massive battery of 4200 mAh capacity.
