New "Mortal Kombat X" details will feature the gameplay trailer for the "Kombat Pack 2", a web series tie-in and a DLC character debuting in the ESL Finals.
NetherRealm Studios launched the new gameplay trailer for "Mortal Kombat X's" latest DLC characters in the "Kombat Pack 2". The trailer highlights the four latest fighters for the sequel such as the Liu Kang's master Bo'Rai Cho, the new cyborg ninja Triborg, Leatherface from the "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" films and the Xenomorph from the "Alien" film franchise.
As seen in the trailer each character will have different variations based from there personalities and combat traits for instance Bo'Rai Cho utilizes drunken fist style martial arts and stick fighting, as well using his disgusting odor. Triborg is a combination of three cyborg characters Sektor, Cyrax and Smoke. Leatherface uses is chainsaw in combat and the Xenomorph utilizes the chestbursters and facehuggers in the film series and some moves from "Mortal Kombat" figther Baraka.
Aside from the DLC character trailer, the "Kombat Pack 2" will also have a number of DLC perks for "Mortal Kombat X" such as the return Goro as a downloadable fighter, the Apocalypse pack which features three new character skins for Takeda, D'Vorah and Erron Black. There is also the Brazil Pack for Johnny Cage, Liu Kang and Kung Lao, Kold War Pack for Sonya Blade, Sub-Zero, Kano and Scorpion, Gamerant reported.
The "Kombat Pack 2" is speculated to launch sometime within the month of April for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
In other news, "Mortal Kombat X" will likely have a tie-in to the game's latest web series "Mortal Kombat: Generations" as several reports speculated that the story will focus on the new fighters in the series such as Cassie Cage, Erron Black, Takeda and Kung Jin. "Mortal Kombat: Generations'" showrunner Garrett Warren tweeted that the web series will premiere sometime in the early months this year.
Finally, the ESL Finals event will debut one of the DLC characters within the "Kombat Pack 2". The ESL Finals will be featured in a special Kombat Kast broadcast on Jan. 24 and it is unknown yet as to which of the four fighters will appear in the event, the Christian Post reported.
"Mortal Kombat X" is currently available in stores worldwide for the PS4, Xbox One and for the PC.
