Xiaomi is preparing for an event on Oct. 25 where the company would reveal the new Xiaomi Mi Note 2. The launch teaser has a caption that says "Curved to impress."

Based on leaks, Xiaomi is about to launch a device which resembles the Samsung S6 Edge or Note 7. The Mi Note 2 could come in two versions: a regular flat body and a premium curved one.

The Chinese manufacturer reportedly sealed an agreement with LG Display which will allow it to buy curved displays. LG Display has the technology even if its smartphones have not used it yet. The device may feature a home button with a silver outline like the Xiaomi Mi 5's home button design.

According to GSM Arena, the Mi Note 2 is expected to sport a 5.7-inch Quad HD display with a Snapdragon 821 processor, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. It is likely to come with a 23 megapixels and 12 megapixels dual camera on the rear and an 8 megapixels front camera. The device is also expected to come with 128 GB of internal storage, a 4,000 mAh fast-charging battery, NFC-enabled security, and Force Touch features. The Mi Note 2 could be priced at $445.

The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is being compared to the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. While both devices boast of 5.7-inch Quad HD display, the Mi Note 2 has a bigger RAM than the Galaxy Note 7's 4 GB RAM. The Mi Note 2's battery is also larger, and it costs less.
