Pokemon Sun and Moon players who have already completed the game can get the Mythical Pokemon Magearna by simply scanning a QR code. To get Magearna, the player needs to complete the game first. Then needs to open the X menu and select QR Scanner. After that, load up the Pokemon website for Magearna's QR code and go to the Antiquities of the Ages shop in Hau'oli City. Finally, the player has to talk to the deliveryman to catch Magearna. It's that simple to get the first Mythical Pokemon in Pokemon Sun and Moon.
"Magearna is a Mythical Pokémon that was created by a scientist of uncommon genius 500 years ago. Magearna has the power to perceive the emotions, thoughts, and feelings of other Pokémon. If a Pokémon is injured, Magearna will feel the other's pain and suffering and will try as hard as it can to save that Pokémon," Magearna's description reads.
Magearna is a level 50 Fairy and Steel-type Artificial Pokemon with a signature ability of Soul-Heart, which raises its Special Attack stat when Pokemon faints. Magearna holds an item called Bottle Cap, which could be used to pay Mr. Hyper for Hyper Training. The Official Pokemon Channel posted a video of Magearna to reveal its capabilities and that it is now available to trainers.
