Users of Motorola devices will be excited to know that Moto Deutschland has confirmed that a couple of smartphones will receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update in December. Motorola Germany took to Twitter to reveal the dates when the Android 7.0 Nougat software will be released to selected devices in the country.

The Moto Deutschland tweet announced that the highly-anticipated Android 7.0 Nougat update would be rolled out to Moto Play and Moto G before Christmas. Meanwhile, the Moto Z Play will receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update in January next year, followed by the Nexus 6 and Moto X series. Motorola earlier confirmed through a blog post that 15 of its smartphones will be updated to the latest Google OS. The Moto G4 and Moto Z series are the first in line.

After Motorola rolled out the Android 7.0 Nougat update to the Moto Z Force Droid and Moto Z Droid in November, the Moto Z received` it on Dec. 6. The Moto Z series will receive the update on Dec. 16, and next in line are the Verizon-exclusive Moto Z Play Droid and Moto Z Play, which will receive the latest Android operating system in January.

The Moto G4 series or 4^th gen Moto G handsets will receive the Android 7.0 Nougat on Dec. 25 while the Moto X series might get it early in 2017. Nexus 6, on the other hand, will get it early in 2017 alongside the Moto X phones.

The Android Nougat will bring new features, fix bugs and issues and improve overall performance. It is expected to bring a revamped user interface with instant control toggles and space-efficient notifications. It comes with a quick switch and multi-window for excellent multitasking. Android Nougat will also adopt the Vulkan API support which improves gaming and VR quality.
