The holiday season is upon us, and shoppers are searching for deals for gifts. Gaming consoles have been one of the top picks during holiday seasons, and analysts believe that the Sony PlayStation 4 or PS4 will win over Microsoft Xbox One when it comes to sales this year.
According to Sony, PS4 sales have exceeded 50 million units because of the Black Friday sale. Microsoft, on the other hand, did not announce the sales numbers of the Xbox One.

"With tremendous support from our fans and partners across the globe, this year we were able to deliver an unprecedented lineup of hardware, including the new slimmer PS4, PS4 Pro and PlayStation VR. We will continue to provide the best gaming experiences available through our ground-breaking software lineup and network services, as we focus on accelerating our business and expanding the PS4 ecosystem," said Andrew House, President and Global CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment.
Meanwhile, Microsoft is marketing the Xbox One S 4K Blu-ray drive feature which is a concept that Sony has discarded for the PS4 Pro. The company has positioned the Xbox One S as a high-end console for hardcore players, but this could pose a problem when PC prices start to go down. It should be noted that the company lost a lot of players because of its disastrous campaigns for the Xbox One.
The Xbox One S has been released, and it is touted as the most powerful console with virtual reality support and 4K gaming. It includes 6 teraflops of GPU, which is more powerful than the PS4 Pro. Meanwhile, the PlayStation 4 Pro features an octa-core AMD Jaguar x86-64bit CPU with 4.2 Teraflop GPU.
Memory bandwidth is important for VR and 4K gaming and the Xbox One S comes with a 320 Gbps bandwidth while the PS4 Pro sports only a 218 Gbps one.
