Watch Dogs is an open world action-adventure third-person shooter stealth video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft.
New details for "Watch Dogs 2" will feature a new protagonist, a morality system and a possible release date for the sequel in the fall this year.
Several reports and speculations stated stated that Ubisoft will be skipping the development of a new "Assassin Creed" video game sequel this year, which led gaming fans to believe that Ubisoft is developing a new game or sequel to other video game titles. One of these titles is the long rumored "Watch Dogs 2", a sequel to the 2014 open-world, third-person action video game that let's players control the vigilante Aiden Pierce and manipulate all sorts of technology and software by hacking into them using a cellphone.

Creative director Jonathan Morin explained that "Watch Dogs" will turn into a franchise as they will come up with new game features and storylines to make it a successful game franchise.
Ubisoft announce that they are planning to develop "Watch Dogs 2" this year and already place a possible launch date of the sequel in the fall. "Watch Dogs 2" is said to take place in San Francisco as previous rumored reports stated that te sequel could take place in multiple cities such as Dubai, New York, Silicon Valley and Tokyo, Gamingbolt reported.
Aside from the setting and release date, several fans wanted "Watch Dogs 2" to have a morality system feature, were in gamers are given a choice on how to deal with situations whether they are good or bad. The course of the story may depend on the players choice and the choice they make will have dire consequences in the game. It is long rumored that "Watch Dogs 2" could have a different protagonist, ditching Aiden Pierce as the game's main hero, as gaming fans wanted a hero who is morally conflicted in a way that somewhat based on reality and logic, Forbes reported.
Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot stated that he does not know if Aiden Pierce will be back in the sequel, while other speculations claim that "Watch Dogs 2" could have three playable characters similar to that of "Grand Theft Auto 5". "Watch Dogs 2" could also feature more open-world activities that could even rival Rockstar Game's "GTA" franchise.
Gaming fans will just have to wait for more update from Ubisoft regarding "Watch Dogs 2's" development.
"Watch Dogs 2" will launch sometime within this year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and possibly in the PC.
